Answer: Because they are real casino chips. Making a real casino chip is a time & labor intensive proccess. After all, the casinos require their chips to have complete integrity and security so that they can be substituted in good faith for cold hard cash. Casinos across the world use and trust these same identical Pro-Tech® chips on their table games everyday. Here on the Las Vegas Strip you will find these Pro-Tech® chips on the table games of hotels that include the Luxor, Caesars Palace, Casino Royale, Bally's, Paris and Excalibur to name a few. Answer: Unfortunately we can no longer make sets smaller than 300 chips without incurring a "small order" penalty by the manufacturer. For that reason we no longer are offering the smaller sets. However, if you really want to have a 100 or 200 chip set than your per-chip cost would be 97¢/each. Regular artwork fees & shipping charges would apply and lastly you will be billed a $60.00 "small order" fee.

  6.

Answer: Absolutely! Probably 90% of our orders have custom artwork rather than one of our twelve "stock" designs. We can either use a digital image of yours or let our talented graphic artists come up with something based on your submitted image or ideas. There is an additional custom artwork fee but many find it well worth it to get a totally unique set of chips.

  7.

Answer: Yes you can. We understand that you may want the chips to be worth different amounts based on who you are playing cards with. For that reason we can either leave off the denominations entirely or just remove the dollar sign.

Answer: Yes you may. If you are re-ordering more of one of the chips you initially bought from us (same color and denomination) than you just pay the per-chip fee with no added artwork costs. However if you order a new color and/or a new denomination than there is a $90.00 artwork fee on all re-orders.

Answer: You have a great deal of flexibility when it comes to making changes to our "stock" artwork. You can change any of the words, position of the words or fonts. You have a wide choice of colors (Click Here to see our available color chart or Click Here to download the PDF version). You can change the color of not only the chip but also the inserts. The inserts are the offsetting color "stripes" along the outside rim of the chip. We can further personalize the edge of the chip with edge spots of the color of your choice. Your chips can have any denomination on them and be in any currency.

Answer: Yes. 300 is the smallest sized set we can make without incurring and having to pass on a small order penalty. As for the chips within the set, each color and denomination must have at least 50 chips.

  12.

Answer: Yes and no. What you are describing is called an "insert" in chip lingo. Because our chips are printed at three different times (one side, than the reverse, than the edge) our inserts don't "line up". That is they do not "wrap" from top to edge to bottom like a traditional poker chip. However, our chips still look great from any angle. To see some of the examples of what our inserts can look like from the edge, click here.

Answer: This is the mint mark for the manufacturer that we represent. This is a fairly new requirement just going into effect on June 15th '04. From that point forward every chip that this manufacturer makes will be required to have this mint mark. Chips made prior to June 15th do not contain the mint mark. Answer: The bottom line is that no matter how ready you think your art is, it is NOT ready to be sent to production.

The manufacturer has an EXACT format that submitted art must be in. Certain colors have to be layered together, other colors can't be touching each other due to bleed issues, every color must be "tweaked" into our proprietary 80-color palette. There are about a dozen other "hazards" that must be avoided and checked for to insure that your chips come out correctly.

The learning curve is just too great to try to teach you to become a chip designer. Not to mention that part of your artwork fee is a set up fee charged by the manufacturer for the dies to make your chips. Even if your art was submited perfectly, this set up fee would still apply.

Believe it or not, our artists often tell us that it is less time consuming to create some ones art from scratch than it is to try to "tweak" art that has been submitted. For these reasons the art fee simply cannot be waived and will be applied to every new chip order.

Answer: Yes, but we don't always recommend it. Edge text is just not yet an exact science. If you rub your thumb along the edge of one of our chips you will feel a little rough spot called the "gate". When text randomly hits this "gate" one or two letters can come out as smeared, blurred or illegible. For most people the chips are still well within acceptable tollerance but others more discerning have voiced their displeasure with this gate issue.

If you are expecting museum quality pieces we strongly urge you NOT to have edge text on your chips. But that being said it is one of the neat things that can be done with this style of chip. Just please understand the risks before ordering requesting edge text on your chips.

Lastly, edge text is an extra $30.00 flat fee that covers all the colors/denominations in your set. This is the main reason that we have removed the option from our ordering process. A small percentage of people were actually paying extra for something they weren't always thrilled with. We want to maximize the possibility that you will be totally 100% overjoyed with your chips. When edge text enters the equation there is a chance that you may not be.

Answer: As much as we want to offer a wholesale or affiliate program, we simply cannot. We represent Chipco International, the manufacturer. We are not the manufacturer itself. Our margins are small on a set of chips and there just really isn't enough profit to allow another "middle-man". However, that being said we have done several joint ventures with other companies. If you have an idea for a commercial application of our chips, we'd love to hear what you have in mind. We firmly believe in the adage "it never hurts to ask" so if you have an idea please call (800-668-CHIP) or email us HERE
